Spring 2026 Elections Timeline

Wednesday, January 7th: First Day of Classes 


Thursday, January 8th: Political Party DOI's Window Open

Forms can be found at the Student Government Rotunda in the Student Union Building, 58E/3300.

Completed forms are due by Thursday, January 29th at 5:00 PM in the Student Government Rotunda, located in Student Union Building 58 East, Room 3300.


Wednesday, January 14th, 21st, and 28th: Elections Tabling

成人大片Elections will be tabling during Market Days; Wednesdays from 10 AM - 1 PM


Thursday, January 15th: Elections 101 Workshop 

成人大片Elections will be hosting a meeting to discuss and answer questions about the Spring 2026 Student Government elections, at 4:00 PM. 

Located in the John E. Sapp conference room, on the third floor of the Student Union Building 58 East, Room 3206.


Monday, January 26th : Elections 101 Workshop 

成人大片Elections will be hosting a meeting to discuss and answer questions about the Spring 2026 Student Government elections, at 4:00 PM.

Thursday, January 29th: Political Party DOI's Close

Friday, January 30th: Candidate DOI's Window Open

Forms can be found at the Student Government Rotunda in the Student Union Building, 58E/3300.

Completed forms are due by Friday, February 20th at 5:00 PM in the Student Government Rotunda, located in Student Union Building 58 East, Room 3300.


Wednesday, February 4th, 18th, 17th, and 25th: Elections Tabling

成人大片Elections will be tabling during Market Days; Wednesdays from 10 AM - 1 PM. 


Wednesday, February 11th: Elections Fair/Candidate Meet and Greet Tabling @ Market Days

成人大片Elections will be hosting a candidate forum during Market Days from 10 AM - 1 PM. 

The candidate forum will take place in the Student Union Plaza to give students the opportunity to meet with candidates running and speak about their issues and concerns.

Party chairs/candidates must contact the Supervisor of Elections to discuss setup. 


Friday, February 20th: Candidate DOI's Close

Forms can be found at the Student Government Rotunda in the Student Union Building, 58E/3300.

Completed forms are due by 5:00 PM in the Student Government Rotunda, located in Student Union Building 58 East, Room 3300.


Tuesday, February 24th: Mandatory Candidacy Meeting

Each candidate is required to attend at least one of these meetings or will be disqualified from running.

Located in the Senate Chambers, on the third floor of the Student Union Building 58 East, Room 3200 from 4:00-5:00PM.  


Wednesday, February 25th: Mandatory Candidacy Meeting

Each candidate is required to attend at least one of these meetings or will be disqualified from running.

Located in the Senate Chambers, on the third floor of the Student Union Building 58 East, Room 3200 from 4:00-5:00PM. 


Tuesday, March 3rd: Presidential Debate

A Presidential debate will be held for all presidential candidates for the Spring 2026 Elections. This debate is open to the public and will be held from 12:00-2:00pm in the Student Union, Bldg. 58W, Room 3703 A&B.  


Wednesday, March 4th: Candidate Meet and Greet Tabling @ Market Days

成人大片Elections will be hosting a candidate forum during Market Days from 10 AM - 1 PM. 

The candidate forum will take place in the Student Union Plaza to give students the opportunity to meet with candidates running and speak about their issues and concerns.

Party chairs/candidates must contact the Supervisor of Elections to discuss setup. 


Tuesday, March 10th and Wednesday, March 11th: Elections

On Campus voting for Student Government elections will take place from 9:00am-4:00pm in Osprey Plaza on Tuesday, March 10th and Wednesday, March 11th.

Online voting will open on Tuesday, March 10th at 9:00am and will close on Wednesday, March 11th at 4:00pm.

Online voting can be completed on Perch Portal. 


Wednesday, March 11th: Unofficial Election Results Released 


Thursday, March 12th: Candidate Financial Reports Due 

Candidate Financial Statements are due by 5:00 pm in the Student Government Rotunda in the Student Union Building 58E/3300. All expenses must be declared. Refer to title VI, Elections: Policies and Procedures for more details. 


Thursday, March 12th: Judicial Complaints and Signage Removed

Any A&S fee-paying student may file a judicial complaint regarding the election. Judicial complaints must be filed by 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026 and submitted to the Student Government Rotunda in the Student Union Building 58E/3300, with the exception of the Supervisor of Elections.

Candidates are responsible for removing all campaign-related materials by 5:00 pm.


Monday, March 12th - Friday, March 20th: Spring Break - University Closed


Friday, March 27th: Validation Bill of Elections Results 

The Validation bill of election results will occur during the Senate meeting at 12:00pm. Meeting will be held in the Senate Chambers, Building 58E, Room 3200. 


Friday, April 10th: Installment 

Newly elected candidates will be sworn in during the Senate meeting at 12:00pm. Meeting will be held in the Senate Chambers, Building 58E, Room 3200. 

How to Run in Elections

Step 1:

Go to the Student Government Rotunda located in the Student Union Building 58E/3300 to pick up any required forms. 

Step 2:

Return the completed forms to the Student Government Rotunda located in the Student Union Building 58E/3300 before any relative deadlines found in the Timeline.
