Creating Course Plans

• What benefits do I get from using the “Plan Ahead” feature?
  The Plan Ahead feature is part of the ���˴�ƬRegistration System and allows you to create up to 10 plans, each term. Even your advisor can create a plan for you. This allows for easy registration of the exact classes you need and keeps you on track to graduate on time.

• My advisor made a plan for me. Do I have to keep it or register from it?
  No, you can also register for classes that you choose. However, we recommend you work closely with your advisor to ensure the classes you register for are degree applicable.

How to Register

• Do I have to create a course plan first or can I just register directly?
  You do not have to register from a plan. You can go straight to the “Register for Classes” menu option. However, we encourage you to use the “Plan Ahead” feature to keep you on track for timely graduation.
• Can I register from the plan I created? Or from a plan that my advisor made for me?
  Yes you can! On the “Register for Classes” page, you will see a “Plans” tab. Click your plan, choose one class or all of your classes, and click the Submit button.
• I have holds on my account. What do I do?

  Registration holds must be cleared from your account before you are able to register for classes. To view your holds, please follow the below instructions:

  • Log in to your myWings portal
  • Select "Student" under the left "My Resources" menu
    • If you are on a mobile device, select the "Student" tile
  • Select the "Registration" tab
    • If you are on a mobile device, select the "Register" tab
  • Select the "View Holds" tab under "Registration Links"

  Holds must be cleared by the issuing department, and you will be directed to contact the department issuing the hold if you are unable to remove the hold in myWings. If you are still having issues regarding your hold(s), please contact One-Stop Student Services.

• I have questions about one of my class plans. Who should I contact?
  The ���˴�ƬAdvising Community is engaging, knowledgeable and ready to guide you towards your academic goals. Always work closely with your advisor for information and questions regarding course planning and registration.
