The Division of State Group Insurance Open Enrollment for the 2025 plan year begins on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
What does this mean for me?
If you are eligible for benefits through the State Group Insurance Program, this is your once-a-year window to change your benefits plans outside qualifying status change events.
When will the changes take place?
Any changes in benefit elections will be effective January 1, 2026.
What if I take no action or miss the October 31 deadline?
If you take no action during the open enrollment, the benefit elections for 2026 will be the same as you elected in 2025. After open enrollment, you will not be able to make changes to your elections unless it is a .
Note: New employees hired during the Open Enrollment period must complete both their New Hire enrollment and Open Enrollment. They will not be automatically enrolled for 2026 unless they actively complete the Open Enrollment process. Please contact the Benefits team for assistance with your enrollments before the October 31 deadline.
What Action Steps Do I Need to Do?
Be sure all changes are correct, including adding eligible dependents and removing ineligible dependents. You must also provide for any new dependents that are added to your plans.
